Hi Andy - It used to work with the previous version of Mythdora and I was getting about 20% CPU usage when viewing a recording. Since upgrading to the Mythdora 5 it seems to have changed and doesn't work at all. I have spent ages trawling the various forums but have not found anything. As I can still use the system (it pauses occasionally, but I've got used to that), I have resigned myself to it not working and will wait for the next release, although they don't seem to be very frequent at the moment.....

I am trying to solve what seems to be the same problem. Were you ever able to get XvMC working with MythTV on your Via Epia? If so, how did you do it?

I would say to try the MythBuntu distro if you are willing to just give a new distro a go.

Some companies are actually selling hardware with it pre-installed but since you already have a machine I would give it a go.
